Conscious Living Membership and Advertising Member Membership. If you sign up for one of the web or combo packages above or advertise in the conscious living magazine then you are immediately a conscious living advertising/website member ... a bit of a mouthful we know ! This should not be confused with normal conscious living membership which is available to anybody , not just magazine/web advertisers. As it happens most advertising membership packages include a standard consciousliving membership, so chances are that you will be both. Standard conscious living members have a membership card and membership number entitling them to special offers from conscious living and affilliates , advertising/website members also have a username and password with which to access the online control panel.

Membership process. Listing in the resource directories is a 3 stage process , Application:: apply online choosing from one of the options above Application for Magazine-only advertisers :: if you only wish to utilise magazine advertising but still wish to access the consciousliving member control panel please contact us or fill in your application details here , if you currently advertise with consciousliving please just contact us directly and we will create your account for you. Verification:: when your application has been processed , consciousliving.net.au administration will assign you a username and password , these are essential for you to administrate you consciousliving.net.au account. Your username and password will be emailed to the email address you supply in your application form. Go! :: Once you receive your welcome email with your username and password , you will be able to log-in to the members section of our site and begin to enter the details of your listings, when you add listings via your consciousliving.net.au account your listings will immediately be visible on the website ! top On-Line Directory user options When you are a member of the consciousliving.net.au resource directory , and have received your username and password you will be able to.. Modify (all levels) your public contact details (i.e. visible on the website) Edit (all levels) the content of your listings , i.e. you can change the wording and content of your website listing at any time, daily if you want to ! Add (level 2&3 only) multiple listings ! Insert (level 2&3 only) listings into the event calendar Include (level 2&3 only) listings into our free ezine Remember that all changes to your on-line directory listings are instantaneous! Your product listings will also appear randomly through-out the website in our 'featured product' sections.

Usernames and Passwords. Not another one to remember !... Sorry , but both your listings and our sites integrity and security are paramount , this requires that everyone utilising the administration functions of this website login with a username and password , should anyone discover your username and password it would be possible for them to login as you and upload any content they desired. Who can see my password ? Nobody , not even us , your password is encrypted using a one way encryption hash , this means that the original password is not stored anywhere rather an non-decryptable version of it. This means that should you lose your password we can not recover it , (we can of course assign you a new one) , it also means that it the worst case scenario of an attacker gaining access to the sites database that still your password will not be visible to anybody ! If thats the case how come the password form tells me my password is insecure ? A Good question which deserves a good answer. Whenever a new password is added to the system , the system first runs that password though a 'crack' program to try and guess it , if the password passes the crack test then the password is accepted then irreversibly encrypted , else you are informed that the password is insecure. The 'crack' program is exactly the kind of application that hackers would use to try and guess your password.
